Flat Eyecatchers For October

As the flat season continues to carry on at full speed there are still a number of horses catching eye and could be worth following until the end of the flat season.

Olympic Glory

Richard Hannon's Olympic Glory had already gone into the Prix Jean-luc Lagardere with a high reputation after winning a couple of Group races on British shores, but the way he picked up superb fashion in the French Group One will mean he is certainly one to watch.

Entered for the Racing Post Trophy at the end of the season, he was also slashed in price for the 2000 Guineas and although that appears to be a strong division with the likes of Dawn Approach starring, he looks a class act and is one for the notebook over the coming weeks and in particular next season.

Dawn Approach

Jim Bolger's Dawn Approach cemented his place at the head of the 2000 Guineas market for the 2013 renewal with an impressive victory in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes on Future Champions Day at Newmarket.

He may have come under pressure in the final two furlongs, but the way he picked up to reel in stablemate Leitir Mor in the closing stages showed that he should have no problem in stepping up to a mile for the Guineas and he is certainly going to be a leading Classic contender come March.

Just The Judge

Charlie Hills's Just The Judge was immediatly slashed for the 2013 1000 Guineas after she stormed to a cracking success in the Grup Two Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket and she could well be a three-year-old filly to write in the notebook.

Michael Hills was certainly excited about her chances as she quickened in taking fashion and he labelled her as a major Guineas contender and could offer some excellent for punters to get stuck into over the winter months.
